I remember that Cate Blanchett received nominations both in lead and supporting for I'm Not There in 2007 but I created a stipulation that if she won supporting, she'd be removed from lead. This whole thing of having just one genderless category for supporting and lead just creates more problems as what LAFCA delivered where someone thought to be a lead didn't even win supporting but ended up as a runner-up... just embarassing all around.
