Just playing devil's advocate, but Mama Mia! managed to make $40 million after its delisting mainly on a similar sing-a-long format.
I think it's a god awful idea personally, but the whole "go see a movie that you have seen before, only this time the lyrics are provided and you are invited to sing to your heart's content" has shown to be a moneymaker in the past.
