We're just debating here, right so don't hate on me for my views ...

Posted by: elchan (a.k.a elchan2012) on Feb 07, 21:32 in response to Buy BONDS 20's post Not sure who the "our" is but...

1- Gun control.  The fire power should be limited.  No large mags, and assault rifles should be allowed on the streets.  As time passes those assault rifles on the street will break down, with no way to get them repaired they will become useless.

2- I actually build drones for a hobby. I don't build attack drones. It's only the goverment that perverts what could be a great benefit to man.  They already have the ability to monitor us with manned aircraft.  Drones just make it easier and cheaper for them.  We have all seen the scifi warnings on how intrusive they can be.  I would not like this to become law.

3- It's not the capacity of the bus that's the issue.  They need to be maintaned properly, and be piloted by qualified indivduals. Face it, this is costly.  That's why flying on airplanes are so much more expensive than buses.  Larger capacity mean higher profits due to economy of scale.  This is true for airplanes and buses.  If they have to use lower capcity buses, and profits are lower, the quality of drivers and maintenance will suffer. So that's not the solution.

4- I would not bring religion or God into this. The Catholic church is essentially, full of people who exhibit abnormal sexual tendencies.  The fact that they vow to not have sex is abnormal.  In the abscence of normal sexuality, abherrent behaviours develop.  There's no wonder that it is full of pedohiles and homosexuals.

This leads me to my point.  I believe that homosexuality is, in fact, abherrent sexual behaviour that has developped due to curruption of normal sexual tendencies at a young age.  This most likely was caused by influence by another homosexual or pediophile.  We have many behaviours that we believe to be inherent, but in fact are actually learned, and as you say it's a form of addiction.

Many people are addicted to drugs and cigarettes, for instance.  Some people try to make the connection to genetic factors.  But does anyone really think that they are born to be a smoker and drug addict.  Futher to that even if the link to genetics is found, would we then just accept this anti-social behaviour?  In fact, being homosexual is anti-social, in that it is not beneficial to society, like smoking and drug addiction is a burden on our health system.

Homosexuality is also a burden on society, in the fact that it does not produce prodgeny. If that becomes the norm, then population would begin to drop. So, I believe it is not beneficial to society for such behaviour to become accepted as the norm.  I'm not against having gays remain in their own subculture, as long as they don't try to convince our children, and society that this is natural behaviour.

People who have abherrent behaviours can still contribute to society, as long as they don't let that behaviour overshaow their contributions.  People are not solely defined by their sexuality, unless they make it their sole defining factor. Unfortunately, in our '15 minutes' of fame society, coined by a well know gay man, that is an increasingly popular way our youth are defining themselves. This could be related to the way serial killers, and mass shooters need to gain 'fame' through their abherrent acts.

Ok, time to step of the soap box.  Maybe I should write a book.

If Homosexuality was such a great Sin as you suggest, it would have been in The Ten Commandments. RotoHockeyYTD2013 Feb 07, 14:31

Write the book - but stop linking Homosexuality with Pedophilia. Common mistake. RotoHockeyYTD2013 Feb 07, 22:35

Drones are fun, as long as they are not in the hands of the government. {nm} elchan Feb 08, 08:23

So you're only beneficial to society if you biologically have kids?!?!?!? {nm} JDolphin Feb 08, 00:11

Actually right now I would think NOT having kids would be more beneficial to society... {nm} slappydavid Feb 08, 05:45

Almost all "First World" nations are already below the 2.1 per couple birth rate necessary just to maintain population. DTravel Feb 08, 07:38

Sorry, but humans beings are unique to this universe. So far we have not found other intelligent beings, other than here on earth. elchan Feb 08, 08:19

You have got to be kidding me... {nm} slappydavid Feb 08, 08:33

Nope not kidding. Do you dispute that human beings are a wonderous creation of Mother Earth? elchan Feb 08, 09:18

I would but this isn't the place for that discussion. {nm} DTravel Feb 08, 12:11

I'm not against you remain in your own subculture, as long as you don't try to convince children, and society that yours is benefical views {nm} JDolphin Feb 08, 00:15

I'm not try to convince anyone of anything though. The views are universal. It's the other side that has tried to reverse the psychology. elchan Feb 08, 08:40

Your views are not universal. There is growing scientifc evidence that homosexuality is genetically coded. {nm} Antibody Feb 08, 11:02

See my answer to BSmurf below. However, some of us are genetically coded to for many behaviours ... elchan Feb 08, 12:15

That is based on the fraudulent research of Alfred Kinsey, who used to pay parents to rape their children and report back to him accountant_4_Jesus Feb 08, 15:21

I don't think so. Kinsey's research was on behaviour, not genetics, and in any case there has been plenty of separate research into this. {nm} RogerMore Feb 08, 15:54

I guess all the animal species that partake in homo or bisexuality are not natural, either? Your argument is false as it is based on BSmurf Feb 08, 11:23

That's my point. But increasingly, the subculture wants to break into mainstream, in order to self-justify. elchan Feb 08, 11:57

Extending your point re: women. So, gays and women are OK as long as they are in their place? They can only exist when others determine BSmurf Feb 08, 12:59

Nope, you misunderstand me. Women can be any place they want. elchan Feb 08, 13:28

I'm hesitant to post in a thread started by an obvious troll, but this is a disappointing post. {nm} RogerMore Feb 08, 06:13

Sorry Roger, but don't hate on me for my views. Not trying to instil hatred of anyone. {nm} elchan Feb 08, 08:22

It's not hate - its bewilderment at how your reasoning can be so bad. {nm} RogerMore Feb 08, 09:14

It's not reasoning, it's rationalizing based upon learned beliefs. No one is born hating homosexuality any more than they are born hating BSmurf Feb 08, 11:36

A large majority of us don't hate gays. We simply don't want society to be twisted into thinking that it's normal behaviour. elchan Feb 08, 12:40

You didn't answer the question: How does you opinion of gays benefit YOU? Clearly you do not gain peace of mind from it, so what is it? {nm} BSmurf Feb 08, 12:49

Didn't think there was a need to answer. Though it was rhetorical, but having a good belief system, whatever it may be, benefits me. elchan Feb 08, 13:13

But how do you know your belief system is "good"? Because it is reinforced by those you surround yourself with? The Taliban think their BSmurf Feb 08, 17:20

Well, I have friends that are openly gay, it doesn't bother me. As I said, I don't hate people who choose to be gay. elchan Feb 08, 18:42

What do your gay friends think of your theories? {nm} RogerMore Feb 08, 19:30

Of course they would disagree. Most of them are discreet. Just like normal couples are. elchan Feb 08, 20:25

It also means your ideas aren't tested by the very people most likely to call you out on this Barbra Streisand {nm} RogerMore Feb 08, 21:41
