WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon will make a major sports announcement today at 3 p.m. ET (XFL 2?) Antibody Jan 25, 10:11

Yeah, XFL is likely. Even with ratings decline, concussions, kneeling, etc still there’s more than enough market for a 2nd league. {nm} islndr Jan 25, 10:34

(Tho it can’t be same xfl this time around) {nm} islndr Jan 25, 10:37

Sign Tebow (and Manziel) and target the stand up for the anthem crowd. {nm} Antibody Jan 25, 10:38

Realistically I doubt they get any names. Best chance for success is solidly run training league for players to showcase for an nfl job islndr Jan 25, 10:42

He should put a team in Oakland and San Diego. {nm} Antibody Jan 25, 10:46

Good possibilities. But even nfl cities like Denver and Tampa drew decent, plus places like Birmingham and Memphis {nm} islndr Jan 25, 11:03

(In terms of USFL attendance for example) islndr Jan 25, 11:04

Birmingham and Orlando are likely to get XFL teams again. {nm} Antibody Jan 25, 11:10

Isn't that what the NCAA and the CFL are for? {nm} TJNFL1 Jan 25, 14:35

Or sign Kaep! {nm} Antibody Jan 25, 10:45

the ultimate heel turn {nm} slipping jimmy Jan 25, 12:22

But have him come in mid-game out of the tunnel, with Jim Ross blaring "WHERE DID HE COME FROM" on the loudspeaker. {nm} dubord.s Jan 25, 14:59

IMO, a developmental league yes. The NFL really needs one. The NFL is and acts like a cartel which will make them almost impossible to Moviesnob Jan 25, 11:15

they have the NCAA Div I schools for that. Vince is going to want to play up the violence and race-baiting {nm} slipping jimmy Jan 25, 11:44

Vince says he’s turning it over to pros and taking a back seat. {nm} islndr Jan 25, 12:30

That system isn't working anymore. Players are expected to come in and start right away now due to the salary cap Moviesnob Jan 25, 12:37

They need a d league like nba {nm} Moviesnob Jan 25, 12:38

They had one for awhile in Europe. {nm} Antibody Jan 25, 13:05

I remember. It didn't work but the NFL still wants to put a team in London. They'll need to subsidize their d league Moviesnob Jan 25, 13:10

Whoa, I had no idea LaVar Ball played for the London Monarchs. Lol. {nm} Antibody Jan 25, 13:18

football, long-term, is going to go the way of boxing and smoking. the more CTE evidence comes out, no parent would let their kids play {nm} slipping jimmy Jan 25, 13:28

Its already and can continue to adjust. Bigger issue imo is dwindling cable and sattelite customers {nm} Moviesnob Jan 25, 13:31

don't underestimate the determination of a greedy parent. {nm} TJNFL1 Jan 25, 14:40

football, but for white people {nm} slipping jimmy Jan 25, 10:54

Every team will be called Americans. {nm} Antibody Jan 25, 11:08

they'll only play their international games against ****hole Countries {nm} slipping jimmy Jan 25, 11:32

Hi lights that I took away anyways: no wwe connection, shorter (faster) games, probably rules to stand during anthem, good safety islndr Jan 25, 12:27

There's a difference between pro-college football and 'rasslin that even a half-educated goober should be able to recognize. Yawn. {nm} DTXbro Jan 25, 13:16

so they aren't going to bring back the women's swim suit league? {nm} TJNFL1 Jan 25, 14:43
