Michelle Yeoh was one of Asia's biggest female action stars during the 1980s. After a brief retirement from marriage, she returned to the screen with a vengeance in 1992 with Police Story 3, released four years later in the U.S. as Supercop. Yeoh then starred in a string of Hong Kong hits including The Heroic Trio, Tai-Chi Master, and Wing Chun. In 1997, Yeoh's role in Tomorrow Never Dies brought her new fans world-wide. Though she appears to be a natural fighter, the Malaysian-born Yeoh has no formal martial arts training. Instead, Yeoh is an accomplished dancer who received her Bachelor's degree in Dance and Drama from London's Royal Academy of Dance. Her graceful aerobatics and subtle dramatics are on full display in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
