Description

Annette Bening, Brian Cox, Gwyneth Paltrow and Alec Baldwin star in the film adaptation of the best-selling Augusten Burroughs autobiography Running With Scissors. Born to a bipolar poet mother who had delusions of grandeur, the young Augusten is given up for adoption and taken in by his mother's eccentric and unorthodox psychiatrist. The drama marks the feature film debut of writer-director Ryan Murphy, creator of Nip/Tuck.
