Description

Loosely based on the novel 'Oil!' by Upton Sinclair, There Will Be Blood chronicles the ugly side of oil drilling in 1920's California. Daniel Day Lewis plays a man who buys a family ranch and strikes black gold when he finds crude oil. The prospector becomes wealthy but is also destroyed by his riches. Paul Thomas Anderson directs from his adaptation.
