Mitch, this is exactly what I've been talking about!
Sir, please know that it's not just you...I started noticing a similar "roller coaster" pattern in August of last year. I've been playing since 2007 and never up to that point were there such wide fluctuations in price within a day or at least from day to day.
Case-in-point: Fanstastic Beasts 3...Yesterday I made a decent amount on this going long with just 10K shares. Today, the price is back down to around where I bought in. FYI: The price began to plummet at around 2 a.m. I happen to be up and I checked, which is when I decided to liquidate to avoid absolute carnage.
Another for-instance is IRISH, which has far more longs than shorts. So then why do such securities continue to head towards zero? Do the math: There are well over 100 million long positions for this stock...divide that by 100K (the max any port can own) and you get 100K+ ports holding that much. One way or another, how come so many people are willing to let it bleed out?
