OK, let's see if we can learn something
1) Why do we short stocks (BTW, it's not "buy stocks short")? because they go down in price.
2) How do we predict that they will go down? when people sell or short them. (I'm being serious)
3) At what prices should we short stocks? As high as possible.
4) When do people sell or short stocks? Either, a) when there is no news for a development stock, or b) once there is news that makes a stock pop. (It's up, so, let's sell/short)
5) When should we short stocks? See a) and b) from #3
6) When do we cover our shorts? When you have big profits, or on any news that makes the stock pop.
7) How do we find stocks to short? Development stocks are ripe for shorting. Look for the big % movers up on the day, they are ripe for shorting, too.
8) Where else can I find wonderful information like this? ROTO has posted about shorting stocks many times.
