This movie, I'm going on gut...
I don't know anyone who wants to see this in my sphere (and I'm female and I hang with lots of kids). Â Maybe this will be the single lady film of the year and I'm just not seeing it. Â But, I think Pets kills it (like Nemo killed all the 2nd weekend films it was up against)...
I say this as one who LOVES the original ghostbusters and can probably quote a few lines...
I mean, I ask myself - if I'm not the audience, who is for this movie? Â I don't think they are looking to draw couples or a heavy male audience...I don't see males 13-25 dying for this, and I don't see this as a Bridesmaids or Magic Mike audience movie (nor do I see it as an "old people" audience movie). Â I have said, and will continue to say, that the Bridesmaid spot is for Bad Moms this summer if there's any movie that inherits the title...
It could be a movie that even if good, brings no one out opening weekend...I mean, the BFG just had that problem 2 weekends ago and it was 72%...
