And again, as the Project Director says in the BI interview at the top of this thread, Legendary hasn't shown interest in a Mass Effect series with the new leadership, even though they've been pushing for it, and doesn't think that the interactive element of games is a cool experiment for Netflix but shouldn't be the main takeaway from video games. Neither of those statements from the Project Director jive with the notion of a choose-your-own-path animated Mass Effect series that's a good enough ways into production at Netflix that THS knows how Netflix's tech has evolved for this series.
For goodness sakes, an animated show where you choose the gender, look, and class of your main character? So you're going to render the series in a real time game-engine for each individual viewer, and stream the feed to them? For multiple episodes? And the each subsequent episode has to branch off a decision path? Where is Netflix getting that processing power from?
It's absolute garbage.
