Comparison can be with any movie, whether numbers trend is being said to be similar or not is what matters here. I didn't put their trend as similar.
I mentioned the best of 2022, ie current ie this year ie recent BO & moviegoer behaviour. It just so happens that highest D3 of 2022 was 'x' movie, which movie it was was not relevant to what I was talking about. Just that if D3 is 200m then D24 as 517.5m is unlikely right now even given the time of year its releasing in (even accounting for SPID8 last year which was waaaay higher for D3). Avatar 2 will not be Avatar 1 phenomenon but will do very well for itself & for the year in which it released (if we forget what it cost).
