Has anyone else seen it? I want to decide whether to watch it on VOD...seemed intriguing but lobogotti's comments make me cautious {nm}

Low Budget SciFi Romance movie "Monsters" [MNSTS] to be the new "District 9 / Paranormal Activity - ish" revelation ! kruger Oct 25, 19:48

Except that it's already on Video on Demand and probably won't go nearly as wide as either movie you cite. {nm} secretstalker Oct 25, 19:50

Where did you see it grossing more than a million already? I'm curious, the current value is really low if that's the case. {nm} lefrench Oct 27, 06:06

and no offense to anyone here (associated w/ the film), but it was pretty horrible. {nm} lobogotti Oct 25, 19:53

Yeah it's on Video On Demand but not everywhere, most of the receipts of movies come from foreign countries, lots don't have the vod version {nm} kruger Oct 25, 19:56

dont go expecting anything like Cloverfield or Jurassic Park. Its more Before Sunrise than a monster flick {nm} Moviesnob Oct 26, 07:08

Thanks {nm} GMov Oct 26, 07:31

Magnolia has released 132 movies in the last 8 years. Only 23 of them have managed to clear a measly 1M domestic inflation adjusted. shadowking Oct 25, 20:14

Who releases more movies: Magnolia or IFC? I know they both do the VOD thing. {nm} HarryWarden Oct 25, 21:56

They're about even over the last few years. {nm} shadowking Oct 26, 05:24

WTF? MNSTS was released in only 2 theaters? I guess they don't want to make back the money they put into it. {nm} Kumacho1957 Nov 01, 12:55
