Calculated dROI (the number you get from a spreadsheet) is a long-term average of the change in price.
Like all long-term averages, there'll be times when the price changes at a faster rate than the calculated dROI (and times when the price changes slower).
One of the times when price changes faster than the calculated dROI is immediately after adjust. The Starbond has traders' attention, and they are looking forward to what it will do next, so there's a lot of trading on the Starbond.
Based on your observations (and others), this period of increased trading activity and price change lasts 1-3 days.
So, traders can make money by playing the players. They know what direction the Starbond will be headed and how long the increased trading activity will last. And using this method, you can get decent returns from investing in Starbonds with a low calculated dROI, as well as the more obvious ones with high calculated dROIs.
