Danny Glover began to take an interest in acting at age 28. He landed a small recurring role on Hill Street Blues, which lead to his film debut in 1984's Places in the Heart. Glover's career exploded in1985 with a string of films The Color Purple, Witness and Silverado. In 1987, Glover teamed up with Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon, which spawned three sequels.
