why is ok to cast a minority in the role of a traditionally white character, but not ok to cast a white person as a traditionally ethnic
character?
We're supposed to applaud a black spiderman or barbie, but get up in arms & scream white washing when its the other way around.
It's hypocrisy.
If we're gonna shake up the traditional norms, then it needs to be ok both ways. And we need to be more inclusive of races other than african american. Asians, hispanics, & middle easterners (even worse if youre of these races & dark skinned) arent being prioritized the way black actors are.
