Based on the popular Summer Pick 5 contest created by tealfan, this is the new Winter Pick Contest! There is a twist: this will be a Pick 7! The reason is the likelihood of many players having the same top picks. There are other changes as well; please read all rules!
The goal is to pick the seven films this winter that will have the highest total domestic box office. Select from films released November 1st, 2017 through February 16th, 2018 (President's Day weekend). You get 1 point for each movie you correctly get in the Top 7, and an additional point for each movie in the right position. Films may accumulate box office beyond President's Day, so the contest will continue until a top 7 can be determined. Tiebreakers, if needed, are as follows:
1) Most in Top 5.
2) Most in correct position.
3) Closest to the actual box office of "Justice League" to the nearest dollar through President's Day. (Note: JLEAG may still be in theaters at that time. The total box office will count towards the picks, but the box office through President's Day is what is needed for this tiebreaker.)
One entry per person. Enter your picks until 10AM Pacific on November 3rd (when the THOR3 Opening Weekend Warrant halts).
There is a prize! Thanks to the wonderful support of lobogotti, the 1st place winner will receive a $50 Amazon gift card! And, thanks to the amazing work of KaiGee, the leaderboard will be hosted at kaigee.com!
Finally, please note the new way to enter your picks! To make the picks easier for us to enter, in the subject line: type your name and your seven picks using the correct ticker symbol, with a comma and space after each, then your JLEAG estimate in numbers only (no dollar sign, commas, etc)
