Mind you, I haven't seen it yet, personally. I am looking forward to it, and will see it, but will have to go alone, as no one I know are

into this kind of film, or would be very excited over it.

I'll probably like it. The films I enjoy the very most though, are those I see during film festivals. Well-crafted drama, often British - or even by Polanski. And Woody Allen-stuff and things like that. Someting that deals with the common issues and struggles in life, in a revelatory way. Or an intelligent crime drama, or thriller. Etc etc.

Inception probably is the acceptable face of multiplex popcorn fare, indeed Wink

ERC Reporting $21.6 Million for Inception on Opening Day Karthick24 Jul 17, 07:17

$57 Million is More like for the weekend Karthick24 Jul 17, 07:20

It has a cinemascore of B+ so its not going to have amazing word of mouth. Unless people dont understand it and wish to see it a second time {nm} gogreen Jul 17, 07:31

On that same note Karthick24 Jul 17, 07:33

Shutter had a B+ too. {nm} headcrush Jul 17, 07:36

No, he's right. Shutter Island got a C+ from CinemaScore. {nm} Libs Jul 17, 07:38

It got an A for people under 25. I'm a bit surprised it polled badly with older audiences. {nm} headcrush Jul 17, 07:33

perhaps they are more discerning Facto Jul 17, 07:35

You got a point there Facto {nm} Karthick24 Jul 17, 07:36

I wouldn't be so pessimistic so quickly. A B+ grade is not exactly horrible, and the under-25 demo gave it an A. {nm} Libs Jul 17, 07:33

In my rough calculations, holding both openers max short should bring in anywhere from 3M to 3.5M. Am I mistaken? {nm} Facto Jul 17, 07:28

Now estimating 60M for Inception this weekend. But beware, the guy writing this is a serious fanboy, and predicted an 80M opening. {nm} Facto Jul 17, 07:57

I personally don't really get anylonger why ERC is the authourity.. Nobody better out there? (link) Facto Jul 17, 07:59

Predators down over 70% from opening weekend? Has it really plummeted this badly, in summer? ERC estimates a 6,75M second weekend.. {nm} Facto Jul 17, 08:18

You Can tell Predators for Heading for a FREE FALL Karthick24 Jul 17, 10:50

Will have a tough time outgrossing Karate Kid or Dispicable Me.... {nm} RoBoGuru Jul 17, 09:19
