First trailer for The Testament of Ann Lee

Searchlight has revealed the teaser trailer for the historical musical The Testament of Ann Lee [ANLEE].  Amanda Seyfried [ASEYF] stars as the founder of the Christian sect the Shakers during the 18th Century.  Preaching gender and social equality, she journeyed with her followers to build a utopia in the United States. The film features more than a dozen traditional Shaker hymns reimagined as rapturous movements.  Written and directed by Mona Fastvold, The Testament of Ann Lee opens in theaters on December 25th.
