will not be full and true equality for same sex partners. If it was federal law that all rights and privileges of marriage applied to civil unions, then it would not matter.
How about we abolish the word "marriage" and make all couples, both same sex and opposite sex, to be in "civil unions." Would you go for that solution? Didn't think so. So don't push this silly term onto other people. All rights and privileges stem from "marriage" You cannot escape that word.,,,fir everyone.
