[IRMN2] - mid 150's are still too high

Posted by: manticore12 on Apr 27, 19:30 in response to numbersix_99's post RS 4/30 - Tagging for Reference

Marvel is still hoping to have something that one-ups Dark Knight. The problem is that, for the most part, Iron Man has been a second-tier character in the comics. Interesting history and all (nice one with the alcohol abuse), but still not on par with Spider-Man and some of the others in terms of sales.

Not only that, but the with the early reviews in, it appears that the message is: If you're not a drooling comic fanboy, this movie isn't as good as the first one.

I'm still calling the OW at 95-110, which makes the current price way too high. Can't wait to ride the short train up the lifetime ladder.

I just realized I've never watched the third Shrek... oops :) {nm}   CS on Apr 25, 22:26

You better catch up. I doubt any of Shrek 4 will make sense without seeing it. (sarcasm) :) {nm}   secretstalker on Apr 26, 04:18

I loved Shrek 2 but rented Shrek 3 and started to watch it.. didnt get past 20 minutes. I still think this # is way too low though {nm}   MiyazakiFan on Apr 26, 06:36

Allways wonder why Shrek movies open so big. Shrek 3 was awful. I dont think SHRK 4 is going to open as big as the others but not 70 maybe   gogreen on Apr 26, 07:12

I think that might be what we did as well. Started it but turned it off soon after. {nm}   CS on Apr 26, 07:39

I loved "Shrek," and taught it in a writing course; I was amused and disappointed by "Shrek 2," and did not bother to see "3." {nm}   second gary on Apr 26, 08:19

It's still a month away. In a few weeks it'll probably be well over a hundred. {nm}   goodvibe61 on Apr 25, 22:47

Do they not weight for release date? {nm}   lukesed on Apr 26, 11:31

A little help   Dobler on Apr 25, 22:51

That number isn't terrible for Shrek, but it just feels really UNDERWHELMING. Looks like only IRNM 2 will be the talk of May. {nm}   wrongturn687 on Apr 25, 23:08

Seriously, people... when has RS been anywhere close on a movie this far out? I'll tell you: NEVER. {nm}   secretstalker on Apr 26, 04:19

RS numbers are early tracking numbers for the opening weekend figures...   numbersix_99 on Apr 26, 02:38
