How does the diversity metrric requirement actually work
In reading the article, a film must meet a diversity number to be included in any nominations. (if I read right) I see the list of under represented groups is quite expansive. I am wondering that if you add an addtitional group, it would not be about a correlated direct hiring in that group as the diversity number is an aggregation of any listed group within that bucket? Or are they looking at each subgroup and mandating some specific employment threshold? I am also curious considering LGBTQIA is a group, that metric must be very difficult to ascertain consdering you would be forced to disclose gender idenitity or sexual orientation which would be illegal as a mandate.
